The Houston Independent School District (HISD) School Board is asked to approve amending the minutes from the May 14, 2026, board meeting to include the name of Travis Hunt as the alternate to the superintendent for obtaining Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) access to the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) portal for HISD.
The minutes of the May 14, 2026, School Board meeting show that the board approved the item designating Travis Hunt, Director of Program Compliance for the Department of System Fidelity and Reporting. However, the minutes document did not contain Mr. Hunt’s name, which the Texas Education Agency is requiring.
A copy of the amended May 14, 2026, minutes which includes the name Travis Hunt in connection with item 10 is attached.

recommendation
RECOMMENDED: That the School Board approves amending the minutes from the May 14, 2026, board meeting to include the name of Travis Hunt as the alternate to the superintendent for obtaining TEAL access to the TSDS portal, effective August 14, 2026.
