The purpose of this agenda item is to request that the Houston Independent School District (HISD) School Board approves revisions to EHBB(LOCAL), Special Programs: Gifted and Talented Students, to align with updated policies from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
The adjusted policy prohibits the use of a scoring value on the matrix based on race, ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic status, or disability.
