Approval Of Proposed Revisions To And Ratification Of The Student Code Of Conduct

The purpose of this agenda item is to request approval and ratification from the Houston Independent School District (HISD) School Board for updates to the Student Code of Conduct related to the policy on personal communication devices.
The proposed revisions reflect an extended confiscation period after the first offense and a more inclusive and collaborative approach with families deciding on the storage location of the device during the confiscation period.
A copy of the Student Code of Conduct showing the proposed changes is attached.
