Approval Of The 2026-2027 School Improvement Plans
body
The School Improvement Plans (SIPs) are comprehensive documents developed in accordance with the requirements of Texas Education Code (TEC) §11.253. Each year, the principal of each campus, with the assistance of the campus-level planning and decision-making committee, develops, reviews, and revises the SIP to improve student performance for all student populations and address state performance indicators established under TEC §139.053.
In accordance with TEC §11.253, the SIPs are based on an assessment of student performance and establish campus performance objectives designed to improve academic achievement. The plans identify strategies and resources necessary to meet campus goals, assign staff responsibilities, establish implementation timelines, and provide for ongoing monitoring of progress toward performance objectives.
Copies of the SIPs have been provided separately to board members. The plan for each campus will be made available on its respective Houston Independent School District website after approval.
