Authority To Negotiate, Execute, And Amend A Field License Agreement With Third Ward Little League For Use Of The Athletic Fields Adjacent To Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy

This item asks the School Board to authorize the superintendent of schools or designee to negotiate, execute, and if necessary, amend a license agreement with Third Ward Little League (TWLL) for use of the athletic fields adjacent to Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy.
TWLL uses the fields for its sports activities. The agreement would be for a three-year term and allows TWLL to make approved upgrades to the site.
Approval of the agreement will allow the Houston Independent School District community to continue using the site. This agreement serves an educational/public purpose because TWLL serves students from Lockhart Elementary School (ES), Thompson ES, Foster ES, Hartsfield ES, Whidby ES, and Peck ES.
