This agenda item seeks Houston Independent School District (HISD) School Board approval of revisions to Board Policy FFF(LOCAL), Student Welfare: Student Safety.
The proposed revisions align board policy with current requirements under Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code related to safe and supportive schools.
The proposed revisions show the definition of misconduct has been amended to include provisions from Senate Bill 571 from the 89th Legislative Session. The misconduct definition has also been reformatted to improve readability.
A copy of FFF(LOCAL) showing the proposed revisions is attached.
