MEETING HELD - PURPOSE  
The School Board of the Houston Independent School District (HISD) held a special meeting  
on March 26, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. in the board auditorium of the Hattie Mae White  
Educational Support Center, 4400 West 18th St., Houston, TX 77092.  
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER – MEMBERS PRESENT  
Board President Campo called the meeting to order at 1:08 p.m. and declared the board

board voted to adopt the decision and recommendation of the independent hearing examiner,  
adopt the findings of fact and conclusions of law recommended by the independent hearing  
examiner, and approve the proposed termination of Kanishia Carey's 2024–2025 probationary  
contract for good cause.
